Give old clothing and textiles a new lease of life with this introduction to natural dyes and patterning techniques.
Tutor Cat will introduce some of the beautiful effects that can be achieved using locally foraged plants and even food scraps! You’ll start by learning a variety of ‘shibori’ patterning techniques before dyeing your own item to take away with you.
About your tutor: Cat runs ColourField, based in her Cardiff studio. She runs workshops and an online shop selling hand made inks, clothes, cushions and prints. All naturally printed and dyed using sustainable materials.
We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible so that our workshops are affordable and accessible. We are able to offer a limited amount of free tickets to those on low incomes so please get in touch if you wish to attend a workshop but feel that the cost is prohibitive.
