Join us at the global gardens community allotment to learn about the secrets of seed saving.
Learn all about different types of seeds, how to save them and why it's beneficial to do so. We'll be looking at how you prepare to grow for seed, harvesting, storing and swapping. This workshop is for anyone who is growing in their own garden, allotment or community growing space. You will also be the first to find out about the new Cardiff Seed savers project and will go away with lots of seeds to grow next season.
About your tutors: This is a collaborative workshop - Poppy (Global gardens) , Michele (Edible Landscaping), Chris Fowler (Welsh dragon chillis) and Becca (Green City Events) have been experimenting with seed saving for several years and have come together to share their tips and tricks.
We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible so that our workshops are affordable and accessible. We are able to offer a limited amount of free tickets to those on low incomes so please get in touch if you wish to attend a workshop but feel that the cost is prohibitive.
