Event Details

Use up scraps and make free food for your plants as we explore simple, low-cost ways to make compost and plant feed in even very small gardens.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to set up and care for different kinds of garden composting systems and understand the needs of plants to mix up your own feeds and fertilisers. We’ll show you how to start composting with worms and you’ll learn to harvest your wormery and prevent common problems.

About your tutor: Hannah from Green Squirrel is an enthusiastic home composter and friend of worms.

Accessibility: Please note that our workshop venue is downstairs at Little Man Coffee, please get in touch when you book if this poses a problem for you and we will make plans to ensure you’re able to attend and be comfortable. Please let us know if we can make any other accommodations to help you enjoy the workshop.

Free places: We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible so that our workshops are affordable and accessible. If you’d like to attend but the ticket price is preventing you then please get in touch as we have a limited number of free spaces available on each workshop; you won’t be asked to provide any further information but we do ask people to contact us to ensure free spaces are fairly distributed.

What is the Handling Charge for?

To ensure tickets are delivered safely and securely and to keep the price as low as possible for you, the ticket buyer, Green Squirrel generally uses our E-ticket system unless otherwise stated.

For this service we charge a small Handling Fee to cover the debit/credit card processing fees, customer services, processing and distribution of tickets and our secure server costs. We always try to keep these costs to an absolute minimum. If you feel at any time that our prices are not fair or competitive we'd be happy to hear from you.

Delivery

If you have ordered physical paper tickets there is a further Delivery cost added to cover the delivery of your order through the Royal Mail network.

We always endeavour to keep these costs as low as possible to merely cover the costs of postage. We only charge you one Delivery cost per order so if there is a big group of you recommend purchasing larger amounts in one order.

When you purchase tickets through Green Squirrel, the full face value of the ticket is shown. This price is the price set by the event organiser and we pay this full amount to the organiser without any deductions.
