Event Details

Join local nature enthusiast Pip Gray from #WildCardiffHour to discover our cities wildlife and a variety of ways to record it through photography and creative media.

We’ll be rustling through the reed beds of the Cardiff Bay Wetlands Reserve, a hidden oasis in south Cardiff for urban nature, where we’ll be learning about who calls our lakes and coastline home. Pictures that you take or create can be included in our city-wide celebration in May.

Perfect for those looking to see more of Cardiff’s wildlife, everyone is welcome - no experience necessary. Bring along a camera or even just your phone, enthusiasm and sensible shoes!

This is a free workshop suitable for adults and young people aged 8 and above. The meeting point for this workshop will be outside St David's Hotel for 10.30am.

The artworks created will be displayed across Cardiff in May as part of a new project The Girl Who Wouldn't Give Up; a city wide celebration of creativity, community and hope.

The project is based on a traditional Welsh tale of hope, resilience and the power of young people and communities to create incredible change. Find out more about the project here and download free toolkits and a story pack!

Tickets for this event are free but we ask that you book your place in order to help us monitor attendance and improve the accessibility of our workshops. We request that you contact us if you are no longer able to attend.

We are very grateful for the support of the Community Fund.
