Join us at the Global gardens community garden to have a go at a low impact photo printing technique; anthotype printing.
Anthotype is a type of print made using plant juice, sun and nothing else! It is one of the most natural and low impact photography printing processes, as well as one of the slowest!
Our tutor Vaida will guide you through this process and you will experiment with making different plant pigments and get to do some photo printing in the sun. Your prints will form a collaborative piece of artwork that will be displayed as part of a creative city-wide celebration event in May.
This is a free workshop for adults and young people aged 10 and above.
The artworks created will be displayed across Cardiff in May as part of a new project The Girl Who Wouldn't Give Up; a city wide celebration of creativity, community and hope.
The project is based on a traditional Welsh tale of hope, resilience and the power of young people and communities to create incredible change. Find out more about the project here and download free toolkits and a story pack!
Tickets for this event are free but we ask that you book your place in order to help us monitor attendance and improve the accessibility of our workshops. We request that you contact us if you are no longer able to attend.
We are very grateful for the support of the Community Fund.
