Event Details

I am sorry to say that we have postponed this workshop due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The safety and health of our tutors, participants and community is our top priority.

This decision has not been made lightly and we are very aware of the impact that cancelling our events has on our freelance tutors, local venues and our participants. Please be assured that we are honouring our payments to tutors and venues and are looking into exciting new ways to deliver virtual workshops to our Green Squirrel community.

In order to support our local social enterprise you can still book onto the workshop to attend at a future date or purchase a gift voucher for a future workshop. If you have already purchased a ticket then you will receive further information from us via email.

Please follow us on social media or sign up to our newsletter to stay connected.

Do you have a small urban garden but big tasty ideas? Whether you’ve got a patio, a window box, or even just a fence, come and learn how to grow your own in the tiniest urban spaces (as well as larger growing sites).

This workshop will boost your confidence in planning your growing space, placing and choosing your plants to suit the space you have – however challenging! Our tutor, Eirlys Rhiannon of Bwyta Ein Gerddi/Eating Our Gardens, will introduce you to a whole host of unusual edibles, expanding your culinary horizons and helping you discover fresh flavours and perennial garden delights. You'll even go home with some locally grown seedlings and seeds to get you started as well as knowledge of local resources and support networks to join.

About your tutor: Eirlys Rhiannon of Bwyta Ein Gerddi/Eating Our Gardens has a passion for creating edible gardens in urban areas and beyond. She propels herself and her tools around Cardiff by bike helping design and maintain gardens as well as growing all kinds of delicious and unusal edibles in her own garden and allotment.

Accessibility: Please note that our workshop venue is downstairs at Little Man Coffee, please get in touch when you book if this poses a problem for you and we will make plans to ensure you’re able to attend and be comfortable. Please let us know if we can make any other accommodations to help you enjoy the workshop.

Free places: We try to keep ticket prices as low as possible so that our workshops are affordable and accessible. If you’d like to attend but the ticket price is preventing you then please get in touch as we have a limited number of free spaces available on each workshop; you won’t be asked to provide any further information but we do ask people to contact us to ensure free spaces are fairly distributed.
