FREE Virtual craft-along

Join us for a friendly virtual craft along! We are hosting our second drop in virtual craft session with chats and tutorials with our Green Squirrel community and tutors. 

This time our theme is Rewilding your craft.

> We'll be joined by natural dyeing and textile tutor Cat Lewis with a beautiful nature based textile craft and a natural dyeing technique to try at home.

> We'll introduce you to our new craftivism project asking you to help us protect and increase biodiversity on Cardiff verges and in parks by creating a pop up wildflower patch and making your voice heard.

> And we'll be exploring how to green our crafting by looking at the materials and equipment we use, what we can swap and share.

This will be a friendly and informal zoom session and everyone is welcome. 

If you sign up by Weds 13th May we will be drawing names of 10 people to receive special little craft kit which we will post to you prior to the event. We will send you an email the week prior to the event with all the info you need to join us live.

We had so many free creative workshops planned this month as part of our project The Girl Who Wouldn't Give Up, and we were really looking forward to meeting lots of our community members - so this will be a lovely opportunity to hang out and see some friendly faces. You can stay for the whole session or just pop in to say hi.

The Girl Who Wouldn't Give Up is a a city wide celebration of creativity, community and hope. The project is based on a traditional Welsh tale of hope, resilience and the power of young people and communities to create incredible change. Ymunwch a ni am sesiwn gyfeillgar o grefftio ar- lein. Rydyn ni'n cynnal ein ail sesiwn crefftio 'galw heibio'- gyda sgyrsiau ac hyfforddiant gan ein cymuned 'Green Squirrel’ a'n tiwtoriaid. 

Y tro yma, ein thema ydy 'Ail-wylltio' eich crefft.

> Bydd tiwtor lliwio naturiol a thecstiliau Cat Lewis yn ymuno a ni gyda gweithgaredd tecstiliau i'w wneud a natur, ac hefyd fydd hi'n dangos i ni dull lliwio naturiol allwch chi rhoi cynnig arni adref. 

> Cyflwynwn ni chi i'n prosiect newydd 'craftivism' yn eich gofyn chi i helpu ni i amddiffyn a cynyddu bioamrywiaeth ymylion palmentydd a pharciau Caerdydd trwy greu darn o dir ar gyfer blodau gwyllt, a cael cyfle i godi eich llais.

> Hefyd byddwn ni'n archwilio sut i wneud ein gweithgareddau crefft yn fwy cynaliadwy drwy edrych ar y deunyddiau a'r offer yr ydyn ni'n defnyddio- beth allwn ni gyfnewid a rhannu?

Sesiwn gyfeillgar ac anffurfiol 'zoom' bydd hwn ac mae croeso i bawb ymuno gyda ni. 

Os arbedwch le cyn dydd Mercher Mai'r 13eg, bydd cyfle i 10 o bobl i dderbyn pecyn crefft bach arbennig a fydd yn cael ei bostio i chi cyn y ddigwyddiad. Anfonwn ni ebost i chi wythnos cyn y ddigwyddiad gyda'r gwybodaeth fydd angen arnoch chi er mwyn ein ymyno yn fyw ar gyfer y ddigwyddiad yma. 

Roedden ni wedi cynllunio gymaint o weithdai creadigol am ddim y mis yma fel rhan o'n prosiect Y Ferch na fyddai'n Ildio Byth, ac roeddwn ni wir yn edrych ymlaen at cwrdd ag aelodau'n cymuned- felly cyfle hyfryd fydd hwn i wario amser gyda'n gilydd ac i'ch gweld chi. Mae croeso i chi aros am y sesiwn gyfan neu i ymuno am amser byr i ddweud 'shwmae’'.
