Botanical inks / Inciau Botanegol

Learn how to make your own plant based inks using natural foraged materials!

Our tutor Cat will introduce you to the art and science of botanical ink making. Cat will demonstrate her alchemical processes, using gathered plants, flowers and berries and some simple everyday chemistry to show you how to make sustainable inks for drawing and calligraphy.

You can choose to have a mini kit sent to you prior to the virtual workshop so you can get started straight away or you can opt to just watch and learn.

About your tutor: Cat is an organic artist, ink-maker, textile specialist and mender. She enjoys using her creativity to support local community and environmental campaigns and projects.

About the session:

We will send you an email a few days prior to the event with all the info you need to join the session. We will begin the session with a quick introduction to using zoom so that you feel comfortable taking part and asking questions.

Ticket prices and free places:

Over the past few months we’ve been able to offer our activities and events free of charge to our community due to the support of our funders. As we start to transition to a new long term and sustainable way of working we need to introduce fees once again.

We want our events to remain affordable and accessible so we will always reserve a number of free places for those that find the price prohibitive - no catches, no questions, we trust you and want to support you to learn new skills.
