It’s time for another catch up with the Railway Street project!

Join us for a friendly virtual catch up to…

  • hear the latest news from the project

  • explore community ownership. In this meeting we’ll be joined by an advisor from Social Business Wales to help us discuss why, how, and when this project will move to community ownership as it develops.

  • find out about opportunities to join the project advisory group and help kickstart the new equality and diversity group.

  • And….the results of the naming vote are in! Come and find out the site's official new name!

This will be a friendly and informal zoom session and everyone is welcome. Feel free to join while you're eating your tea or hanging out with your kids (or cats - cats seem to enjoy these catch ups!) We will send you an email a few days prior to the event with all the info you need to join us live.

About the project

Green Squirrel have been working with the community in Splott and Adamsdown to design and develop an exciting new community space on a disused piece of land on Railway Street.

This will be a space for community action on the issues that matter to local people. It will provide facilities, training, activities, and support for Splott and Adamsdown residents to develop local solutions to inequality, food poverty, climate breakdown, biodiversity loss, and other challenges affecting our community and beyond. We are so excited about this project!

For those of you that are new to the project you can visit the Railway Street project website here to find out more about what the site will include and how you can get involved.

We are grateful for support from The Co-op Foundation’s Community Spaces programme and the Welsh Government’s Landfill Disposal Tax Grant.
