Event Details

Since our last catch up we've been squirrelling away to move the project closer to the building stage - we'd love to share the latest news with you.

Everyone is welcome - join us for a friendly virtual catch up to…

  • get an exciting funding update

  • hear the latest from the site

  • find out about the new Community Involvement Officer role, learn how to apply and how you can help spread the word.

  • hear from a local superstars Oasis One World Choir about their recent exciting projects and plans for the future.

  • take part in the community noticeboard - do you have local news to share or anything you'd like others to hear about?

This will be a friendly and informal zoom session and everyone is welcome. Feel free to join while you're eating your tea or hanging out with your kids (or pets - cats seem to enjoy these catch ups!) We will send you an email a few days prior to the event with all the info you need to join us live.

About the project

Green Squirrel have been working with the community in Splott and Adamsdown to design and develop an exciting new community space on a disused piece of land on Railway Street.

This will be a space for community action on the issues that matter to local people. It will provide facilities, training, activities, and support for Splott and Adamsdown residents to develop local solutions to inequality, food poverty, climate breakdown, biodiversity loss, and other challenges affecting our community and beyond. We are so excited about this project!

For those of you that are new to the project you can visit the Railway Gardens website here to find out more about what the site will include and how you can get involved.

We are grateful for support from The Co-op Foundation’s Community Spaces programme and the Welsh Government’s Landfill Disposal Tax Grant.
